In the ready food sector, valuing traditional recipes means combining the craftsmanship of the doughs with the highest standards of food safety. The Cascione, a specialty that contains fresh and delicate fillings, represents a specific technical challenge: it requires packaging that knows how to preserve the fragrance of the pastry and the integrity of the filling, while maintaining an inviting appearance on the shelves.
The challenge was overcome through the use of a thermoformer VKF20, a compact but extremely performing solution. This technology allows you to gently manage products with an irregular profile, ensuring an airtight seal and an aesthetic presentation that enhances the genuineness of the product, ensuring optimal shelf-life.

For this project we chose the thermoforming machine VKF20, our high-performance entry-level solution, ideal for companies looking for versatility in small dimensions. The machine has been configured for packaging in Protective Atmosphere (MAP), essential to stop the deterioration of the fresh ingredients inside the cascione and prevent the formation of mold.
The load plane has been optimized to facilitate manual positioning of the product, while ensuring a constant cycle speed. The VKF20 manages the welding phase with extreme precision, ensuring that the irregularities of the artisanal sheet do not compromise the airtightness of the package. Thanks to the simplified format change system, the line can be quickly adapted for different sizes or other variants of baked goods.
